Not until Clem announced "Mr. Cohen" did the self-confessed collector cease to be a man.

Viewed in this way, taxes are seen to be borne to some extent by every one, by those who do not as well as by those who do actually meet the tax-collector face to face.

This collector man is a devil.

The electric current from the collector passes, by means of a copper wire, and a switch upon the dashboard of the car, and resistance coils placed under the seats, to the motor, and from the motor by means of an adjustable clip (illustrated in diagram, Fig. 2) to the axles, and by them through the four wheels to the rails, which form the return circuit.

It amused me immensely, two people on a seat on either side and an aisle through the middle down which the ticket collector walks, and for most of the journey a child raced backwards and forwards, jumping with sticky hands clinging to the sides of each seat while it sucked candy.
