I made a digression from the road up the little river Aar, which falls into the Rhine near Sinzig.

These promenades are paved with gravel and cut thro' the forests, that lie on the coteaux and ravines on the other side of the Aar.

The boisterous Lutschine is the stream of Lauterbrun, and it carries to the Lake of Brientz scarcely less water than the Aar itself.
