SIXTH, several complete Poems, and other fragments of verse, not included in any edition of his Works published during Wordsworth's lifetime, or since, are printed as an appendix to Volume VIII.

As the original text of the 'Descriptive Sketches' is printed in Appendix I. (p. 309) to this volumewith all the notes to that edition of 1793it is not quoted in the footnotes to the final text in the pages which follow, except in cases which will justify themselves.
