Unfortunately, there has been a serious collision between our citizens who have resorted to the Chincha Islands for it and the Peruvian authorities stationed there.

The bulls destined for the ring are obtained principally from the woods in the valleys of Chincha, where they are bred in a wild state.

They sold them to the guano diggings in the Chincha Islands.

CHINCHA ISLANDS, islands off the coast of Peru that had beds of guano, often 100 ft. thick, due to the droppings of penguins and other sea birds, now all but, if not quite, exhausted.
