Esther is a most lovable, gentle creature, called by those who know and love her, "Dame Durden" or "Dame Trot."

Go down into the village, and have breakfast with poor old Grannie Durden.

He mentioned Mrs. Durden only a week ago; but I forgot.

That last bit is what Grannie Durden said.
