Here, however, by assuming that a sentence is the object of the preposition, we may suppose the pronoun I to be understood, as ego is in the bulletin referred to, "Veni, vidi, vici.

It was in reference to this battle that he wrote the inscription for the banner, "Veni, vidi, vici"

In that devoted to Asia Minor was a great banner containing the words already referred to, Veni, Vidi, Vici.
