Two of my special favorites are in the Revelation,'To him that overcometh, to him will I give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.'

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it.

"Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.

Afterward, bewailing his mishap, he commanded the earl to be attached, imprisoned, strangled, unbowelled, and his heart in a cup of gold to be presented to his daughter: she thankfully receiveth the present, filling the cup (wherein the heart was) with her tears, with a venomous potion (by her distilled for that purpose) she drank to her earl.

Only go by, as queens in progress do, And send me word how she receiveth you.

She receiveth Mammon as a gift from his Maker, and makes him serve her use to His glory.

"And when the Lord shall come again in his glory, then he shall bring worthy gifts with him, for he saith: 'Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life; to him that overcometh I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone with a new name that no man knoweth save he that receiveth it.

"This man receiveth sinful ones, And talks and eats with them;" When Jesus heard it, He did speak This Parable to them: If you should have an hundred sheep, And one of them astray Should go, would you not leave the rest, And go out on your way, To find the one that's lost, and bring It on your shoulder home?

A name which shall declare to us our calling and work in God's Church triumphant, throughout all ages and worlds to come: and yet a name which no man knoweth saving he who receiveth it.

"The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners and eateth with them."

14.In Rev., ii, 17th, we read, "Which no man knoweth, saving he that receiveth it;" and again, xiii, 17th, "That no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark."

"This man receiveth sinners.

"The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

And this ye do also: Ye cover the altar of Jehovah with tears, So that he regardeth not the offering any more, Neither receiveth it acceptably from your hand.

Where?Whoso shall receive a little child in My name receiveth Me.

They said: "This man receiveth sinners."

He that reciteth the name of the Ganga is purified; while he that beholdeth her, receiveth prosperity; while he that bathes in her and drinks of her waters sanctifieth seven generations of his race up and down.

The Bible tells us definitely that "the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

"I wrote unto the church; but Diotrepehes, who loveth to have the pre-eminence among them, receiveth us not.
