There is not a fresh meadow-scented breath it gives that does not bring to some sick brain a thought of home, in a New-England village, or a Georgia rice-field.

A GROUND RICE PUDDING.

The rice grounds or fields are laid out in squares, and surrounded by embankments, to retain the water of the rains or streams.

But as he went on singing, they became curious and came down and asked what was the matter, and he said "There are three old woman and one has a stool stuck to her and one a bundle of grass and one a rice pounder; how are they to be freed?"
