C. macrophylla variegata is a distinct and very ornamental form of the above, in which the leaf margins are bordered with white.

R. hispida macrophylla (Large-leaved Rose Acacia) is rendered distinct by its generally more robust growth, and by its larger foliage and flowers.

Another variety sent out under the name of S. macrophylla has unusually large leaves; and another named S. Rogersi produces fruit very abundantly.
